Representatives of the travel company “Thomas Cook” attended Luhansk National University.

Thomas Cook Group – a British travel company with a long history and representative offices in most developed countries. The tour operator is a popular and globally recognized brand, the leading purpose of which is to provide relaxation and comfort of customers and a guarantee of security of the staff.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has been working with representatives of the tourist company for five years. The main purpose of the visit is the continuation of active cooperation, since the administration is satisfied with the quality of training, work, inspiration and creativity of our students.

At the beginning of the visit, a meeting of the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work O.I. Babichev, the Director of the Educatinal and Research Institute of Trade, Serving Technologies and Tourism V.F. Drel and Sunay Sertel, who is director of the quality of tourist services by Antalya region of the travel company “Thomas Cook”, took place. The participants discussed the features and prospects for further cooperation. O.I. Babichev stressed that the administration of the University is worried about the safety of our students and guarantee of their rights as enshrined in many international instruments.

After the official conversation with the administration of LTSNU, Sunay Sertel met with students who expressed a desire to employment in Turkey. The Director of Quality Control by Regions presented the tourist company “Thomas Cook”, spoke about the conditions and requirements for work, and named the vacancies that exist in the tourist company.

The highlight of the visit was the interview with the students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, during which were identified the main criteria for the selection of employees. The interview was attended by students of specialties “Tourism”, “Hotel and Restaurant Business”, “Commodity and Commercial Activities”, “Design”, “Professional Education (Transport)” of the Educational and Research Institute of Trade, Serving Technologies and Tourism. Also, students of other structural subdivisions of the University were interested in the practice.

The international activity and official employment is a symbol of recognition of the University and the quality of education at the global level. The graduates of our University have big opportunities for self-realization not only in Ukraine but also in developed countries.
