“Student League – 2016”

The futsal tournament “Student League – 2016”, which was attended by university teams, was held in the city of Rubizhne.
The regional competitions of student youth are restored. During three days the city of Rubizhne was the sports arena “Student League – 2016” for futsal competitions. Six teams were fighting for the league cup.
On the first day in the group “A” the team of East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University (EUVDNU) successfully played, which was first in the opening match, beat the team of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of our university with a score of 6:2.
In the second match, they defeated the team of Luhansk State Medical University with a score of 3:0. Also our students defeated the LSMU team with a score of 7:1.
The combined team of LTSNU dominated in the group “B”. Our team comprised of: Artem Skachkov, Serhii Hurda, Maksym Reshetnyak, Pavlo Verkhovod, Mykhailo Nosal (all players are students of IFVS,Starobilsk Department), Pavlo Lya shko (IIIRSPS), Kyrylo Sysoenko (FNS), Maksym Khizhnyak and Vladislav Doroshenko (IPMIT) first beat the IPES team with a score of 5:2, and then the second team of East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University – 7:3. In the final group game, the EUVDNU team beat the IPES team with a score of 3:0.
On the third day, the game for the third place was held. The players of IFVS beat the EUVDNU team number 2 with a score of 7:5. Our players won bronze medals.
In the final, the first team of East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University met with the combined team of our university. Our players started the game successfully, and teams went to the break with a score of 2:0 in favor of LTSNU.
The second half was in favor of our opponent; they managed to equalize, but not to win. The football players of our team gained in speed and brought the match to its logical conclusion – a victory with a score of 5:2. The team was awarded with a diploma and a commemorative cup.
