Participation in the Action

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology participated in the action “16 Days Without Violence”.

On November 30, an open discussion platform to combat violence was organized in the city of Starobilsk Regional Medical School. The main purpose was to draw public attention to the current problems of the Ukrainian society for overcoming domestic violence, anti-trafficking and child abuse, gender-based violence and to ensure equal rights for women and men.

The chairman of the Regional Coordinating Council for the family, gender equality, demographic development and combating trafficking in human beings, deputy chairman of the Regional State Administration Olga Lishik greeted the audience. She focused attention on the importance of combating violence.

The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Regional State Administration E.A. Polishchuk, deputy chairman of the Starobilsk District State Administration E.A. Grigorenko, as well as representatives of civil society and international organizations.

Students of LTSNU always take an active part in the cultural and educational activities to promote moral values. They prepared a dance performance, which emphasized the importance and the need to preserve peace in the world space.
