Building Ukraine Together

The University hosted a meeting of students of LTSNU College with employees of the charitable organization “Lviv Education Foundation”.

The charitable organization “Lviv Education Foundation” promotes and supports humanitarian, moral and ethical values by means of educational activities aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development of Ukrainian society. The organization is designed to help businesses and individuals that introduce innovative trends in the social, educational and cultural spheres; to support educational programs in orphanages, shelters, health care and social institutions; to help talented youth, and to support leaders who take responsibility for the development of the state and can improve the situation of vulnerable members of the Ukrainian society by simple pragmatic steps.

The Foundation employees and volunteers not only told the students about the activities of the organization, its goals and objectives, but also invited students to join the all-Ukrainian camp “Building Ukraine Together”, which aims to help the Ukrainians who are in a quandary.

The project “Building Ukraine Together” was created and designed to help people who one way or another suffered from the war (families of ATO heroes, displaced persons, families with many children, families with children with special needs, etc.). In the past, in 2015, it was implemented in the cities of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk of Donetsk region, and this year the volunteers decided to expand the scope of their activities and organize the camp in 10 cities of Ukraine, which will operate throughout summer.

Activists seek to attract 50 volunteers for each week of the camp activities. Half of them will be local residents, and the rest – volunteers from other regions of Ukraine. Therefore, if students of LTSNU and residents of the city join the project, the city of Starobilsk may be among those 10 cities that will receive support and help from volunteers.
