Training “The Principle “Do No Harm”

Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University participated in the training “The Principle “Do No Harm”: Analyze -> Follow-> Change”.
Within the framework of the educational project, on November 25-26, 2016 in the city of Starobilsk was held a training “The Principle “Do No Harm”: Analyze -> Follow-> Change” in order to improve the effectiveness of the assistant and development programs. It took place thanking to the Consortium for Enhancement of Ukrainian Management Education (CEUME) with the support of “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI)” of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Assistant Professors of the Department of Social Pedagogy of LTSNU Natalia A. Litvinova and Svitlana V. Tuntueva were invited as the coaches. Active participants were representatives of the state, public and international organizations, teachers of the Department of Social Pedagogy K.A. Duvanska, O.I. Maltseva, N.L. Otroshchenko, Y.I. Yurkiv and the Department of Psychology T.V. Fedotova, A.A. Nazmiev.
It was not an easy task for the coaches – to teach local officials, teachers who work in the eastern regions and solve specific problems, to put into practice the principle of “Do No Harm”.
After a series of discussions and analysis of exercises, the group concluded that people could not be isolators or combiners, it is their actions and behavior could be isolators and combiners. These techniques from the arsenal of “Do No Harm”: analysis of isolators and combiners, the profile of critical components, taking into account the consequences of the transferred resources and hidden ethical promises will contribute to the peace process and improve the effectiveness of programs to address the consequences of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
