The Remembrance Day

LTSNU commemorated victims of the Holodomor – Genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The Remembrance Day of the Holodomor Victims is celebrated in Ukraine annually on the fourth Saturday of November. This terrible and heavy memorable date is always will remind of the terrible years of 1932-1933 – mass genocide of our nation, its physical destruction, when it was blown up the social basis of the Ukrainian people, traditions, spiritual culture and identity. A lesson dedicated to the memory of victims of Holodomor 1932-1933 was held in the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College and in the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The event was permeated with an atmosphere of empathy, feelings of sadness and regret, which could be heard in every word and movement of students and teachers. Guests of the event – the employees of Luhansk Regional Museum T.V. Klimenko and M.S. Martynenko told the audience about the terrible trials of the Ukrainian people, accompanied by an impressive presentation.
At the end of the lesson all participants had the opportunity to see the exhibition of creative works titled “Mourning Memory of Generations …”, which was prepared by college students for the Remembrance Day of the Holodomor Victims.
