Women’s Volleyball Championship

The women’s volleyball championship was held at Luhansk National University.

The number of sports, which involved girls’ teams, is increasing at the University. 7-8 November was held the women’s volleyball championship. Five combined teams competed for a memorable prize of the university administration.

The team “College”, which included girls from the Humanitarian and Pedagogical College and the University College, headed by Tatiana Kulinchenko considered the favorite of the championship. Other teams consisted of girls from institutes and faculties of the University. It was their first outing in the competition, so waiting for a good game was in vain. But the excitement and emotion of the girls was enough for the first competition, teams demonstrated a good game.

As expected, the team “College” did not give any chance its rivals, having won them with the same score of 2:0. The team leader was Kulinchenko, who played well both in defense and attack, encouraged girls from her team on successful actions. Having such a player in the team, volleyball players, of course, claimed the lead in the championship.

Other teams waged a desperate struggle for the second and third places. Best of all the girls of the combined team “IPP, IPMIT” coped with this task, beat in an internal duel the team “FUPSC, IPP”, and took the second place in the standings. The team “FUPSC, IPP” was the third prize winner. Having scored two points, the combined teams “IHIRSPS, FNS” and “IEB” took the fourth and fifth places.

Tatiana Kulinchenko was recognized as the best player of the championship. All participants of the championship received sweet prizes from the charitable organization “Luhansk regional branch of the international charity organization” SOS Children’s Village. The team “College” was awarded with the memorable cup and the diploma of the university administration, the teams-winners received diplomas.
