Scientific-practical conference

Teachers of LTSNU participated in the scientific-practical conference.

The All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference “Integration of Science and Practice in the Modernization of Correctional Education” was held on October 27-28 in Odesa, with the assistance of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council on the basis of Odessa Special School number 75 of the I-II stages of the Odessa City Council.

The conference was attended by scientists, teachers of the Department of Defectology and Psychological Correction of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: Inna O. Grigoryeva – Ph.D., Associate Professor, Iryna Y. Uzhchenko – Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Defectology and Psychological Correction, chairman of the regional branch of the Ukrainian Association of Correctional Educators.

Scientists in their reports highlighted the international experience of the implementation of the inclusive model of education for children with impaired mental and physical development problems and the use of methods of the neuroacoustic influence in the speech therapy work.

After the plenary session, the participants of the scientific-practical conference examined the exhibits of creative works of graduates and students of the Odesa Special School No.75 of the I-II stages of the Odesa City Council.

The Associate Professor of the Department of Defectology and Psychological Correction of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Iryna V. Makarenko held a master class “Probe massage according to the technique of A.V. Novikova in the logopedic work on correction of severe disturbances of speech”. During the round table “Actual Problems of Special Education” participants discussed a wide range of questions about the current state, problems and prospects of development of special education in Ukraine under the guidance of Tetiana V. Mahukova.

After summarizing the scientific-practical conference, participants took part in the art event “The White Birds of Hope in the Peaceful Sky”, after which they expressed wishes of peace and sincere support of the residents of Luhansk region.
