“Hello, We Are Looking for Talents!”

On November 3, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology held a traditional holiday “Hello, We Are Looking for Talents!” with the theme called – “I and Ukraine”.

The holiday was attended by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Serhii V. Savchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work D.V. Uzhchenko; students and teachers of the University, colleges, the lyceum.

Honorary holiday guests were more than 60 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as guests from Lviv and Ternopil regions: L. Melnychuk, A. Pavlishin, I. Bondar. Bread and salt were presented to them as a sign of respect.

Ukraine is the country of tragedy and beauty, where people most of all enjoy the freedom and less knew it; the country of passionate love for people and the black treason; centuries-old heroic struggle for freedom and independence – that is the leitmotif sounded from the stage to the audience.

The basic idea of the contest “I and Ukraine” was to reveal the talents of the Ukrainian people, to show the diversity of the Ukrainian culture and art.

The first-year students of the specialty “Preschool Education” introduced the Ukrainian song. A variety of Ukrainian songs impressed the audience, because no country in the world has such an authentic treasures. Joyful, sad, humorous, heroic, ceremonial songs were beautiful. The Ukrainian song is the embodiment of something blooming, immortal.

The first-year students of the specialty “Primary Education” devoted their performance to choreography – art of dance in all its diversity – classical, folk, contemporary, ritual, and students of the specialty “Psychology” showed the game on musical instruments.

The following performance was devoted to the Ukrainian theater. The audience brought slides with the photos of the famous Ukrainian actors: Olga Sumska, Ruslana Pysanka, Ostap Stupka, Natalia Sumska, Bohdan Stupka, Bogdan Benyuk and others; students of the specialty “Primary Education (with a reduced training period)” played an excerpt from the play “Kaydasheva Family.”

Students of the specialty “Social Pedagogy” opened the history of Ukrainian league of KVN, and then they showed their talents.

The performance of the students of specialty “Correctional Education”, dedicated to education and the flagship of higher education in the East of Ukraine Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was very interesting.

The University is the first, the leader, the initiator in reforms, scientific progress, improving the quality of education. It is the center of creation of new teaching ideas and implementation of modern technologies, which make studying interesting, engaging, helpful and efficient.

The audience watched the footage with performances of the Rector of the University S.V. Savchenko, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board V.S. Kurylo, highlights from the life of the university in the evacuation.

Finally was the traditional ritual of the dedication to students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The leaders of the first courses came to the stage. All other freshmen got up, lit the lights and uttered an oath.

Later the song “University” sounded, which was performed by all contestants on the stage.

At the end of the holiday, the audience was waiting for a surprise. The Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology invited the police ensemble “PATROL”, which delighted the audience and further raised the mood and the patriotic spirit of students, teachers and military personnel. The applause did not cease a few minutes!

Finally, the jury summed up the results of the contest-festival “I and Ukraine”, and the Rector S.V. Savchenko, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology O.L. Karaman, the Deputy Director V.F. Pushko awarded the winners with certificates and prizes.

III place – the first-year students of the specialty “Social Pedagogy”

The nomination “For Stage Skills” – the first-year students of the specialty “Primary Education (with a reduced training period)”

The nomination “For the Creation of the Image of the University” – the first-year students of the specialty “Preschool Education”

Nomination “For the Originality of Ideas” – the first-year students of the specialty “Primary Education”

Dear freshmen! Now you are the real members of a large and friendly family of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University! Hold its prestige with your knowledge, work, achievements, glorify it all over Ukraine, in the whole world! Be worthy of your ancestors, protect the freedom and independence of Ukraine, and respect your nation and your culture! Glory to our university!
