Socio-Psychological Adaptation

The Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology continues to implement the project “Socio-Psychological Adaptation of the First-Year Students and Displaced Persons.”

Let us remember that the project, whose developer was a postgraduate student of the IPP A. Nazmiev, was launched in September on the basis of Starobilsk Centre for Psychosocial Adaptation within the framework of the Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ukrainian Association of Specialists on Overcoming the Consequences of Traumatic Events and Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The purpose and content of the project is the implementation of socio-psychological work aimed at adapting and further successful socialization of the first-year students and displaced persons at the university based on the use of the group and individual forms of work.

During October many interesting and useful activities for students were carried out, aimed at the development of self-presentation skills and identify their own positive character traits that helped to cope with difficulties; return to the resource of childhood to apply it in the present, etc.

During the studies, different techniques of psychological work were used: art therapeutic technique “Petals”, color-therapy, metaphorical associative cards, etc.

Students realized that internal resources are endless potential stabilization of internal states and personal development.

Now the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technology and Tourism, the Faculty of Natural Sciences have already joined the project.
