“Fortissimo – 2016”

Students-musicians won the International Song Contest “Fortissimo-2016”.
Students of the Institute of Culture and Arts University of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University represented the university at the XIII International Competition “Fortissimo” performing musicians, recently held in the city of Genichesk (before the contest was held in Kharkiv).
So, in the nomination “Folk Instruments” the master student of LNU Valerii Semenenko (the class of prof. A.Y.Stashevskyi) received the first prize, and in the category “Orchestral Stringed Instruments” the III year student Lydia Shkarovska (class of the prof. I.O.Stashevska) also was awarded with the first prize. In the same category one more III year student Mykhailo Maksimov (class of the teacher. M.M.Fenev) received the second award.
Students of our university previously participated in the performing competition and received various awards. So, in 2004 the laureates of the “Fortissimo” became I.Yaschenko and Y.Nesvit, in 2006 – O.Tkachenko, and in 2014 the violinist R.Rats won the Grand Prix.
After a certain pause, arising out of the hostilities and the evacuation of the university, teachers and students of the Department of Musical Arts once again actively involved in the preparation and participation in various international and national music competitions.
2016 has already brought our musicians a number of successful performances and victories, especially in competitions in Kharkiv (“Art-dominant”), Zaporizhzya (“Bayan Circle”), Solec-Zdroj (Poland) and in the last “Fortissimo”.
