Cross-country race

The cross-country race was held at LTSNU.

It has already become a good tradition to hold the cross-country race at the University. The individual championship took place on October 5 at the stadium “Kolos”. Women competed at the distance of 1000 meters. The result of the first race was a benchmark for other participants. Nineteen participants came to the start of the first race. The fastest was the student of the College of LTSNU Olesya Reva, her time is 4 minutes and 3 seconds. Lyudmila Cheypesh from the Institute of Physical Education and Sports finished the second, losing to the winner 5 seconds.

Fifteen participants came to the start of the second race. After a half of the distance, it was clear that the time of the first race winner would be improved. Kateryna Efremova from the College of LTSNU finished with a time of 3 minutes and 46 seconds. Then were three races more, but winner’s time was not improved. The best time of the winners of the next races: Anastasia Sidorova (IPP) – 4 minutes and 22 seconds, Tetyana Martynenko (IPP) – 4 minutes and 19 seconds, and Galina Cherepnya (IPP) – 4 minutes and 18 seconds.

Boys overcame a longer distance. In the first race, Maksym Reshetnyak (IPES) won with a time of 7 minutes and 18 seconds, the second was Vladislav Barabash (College of LTSNU) – 7 minutes and 24 seconds. Only Mikhail Nosal (IPES), who started in the third race, improved the leader’s time winning eight seconds. The results of the winners of other races were lower and did not affect the distribution of places in the top three prizes. Kurylo Sisoenko – 7 minutes and 55 seconds, P. Lyashko (IIIRSPS) – 7 minutes and 26 seconds, and Oleksandr Bryukhovetsky (IPES) – 8 minutes.

The winners were awarded with diplomas and medals of the university administration.
