Meeting with the Staff of LNU

The visiting session of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education in the Luhansk region took place in the city of Starobilsk. Within the session was held the meeting with the staff of LTSNU.

Within the framework of the visiting session of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education in the Luhansk region was held the meeting with scientific and pedagogical workers of our university, young scientists and representatives of the student government at LTSNU. As expected, the guests of honor, who arrived today to Starobilsk, were met with bread and salt. Among those present were: people’s deputies of Ukraine – members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education, staff of the Committee Secretariat, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Central Committee of the Trade Union of workers of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, employees of Luhansk Regional State Administration, Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration and Luhansk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education.

Employees of the university developed its own platform “Electronic University”, which allows conducting online lectures in real time and display the organization of distance and stationary training to a new level, which actually does not have analogues in Ukraine.

Today, the University Rector Serhii V. Savchenko demonstrated progress in this direction to people’s deputies and other members of the Committee, having escorting guests to the classroom where one of these online lectures took place. Then participants of the meeting were invited to the auditorium, where the scheduled meeting was held.

During the meeting participants discussed topical issues of organization of the educational process. They talked about the allocation of additional space for LTSNU in connection with the expansion of the number of students and enrollment of entrants. The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education Oleksandr Spivakovsky mentioned that this decision needed to be approved by the Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yuriy G. Garbuz.

The issue of increasing the scholarship fund does not remain without attention. “The draft budget for next year will have two types of scholarships will be provided for: social and academic. The Scholarship Fund will be increased by 576 million UAH “, – A.V. Spivakovsky.

After the meeting, which took place in our university, representatives of the Committee were met in Polovinkino village where will be visiting of the educational establishment “Polovinkino secondary school of I-III levels of Starobilsk District Council.”
