«Donbass-Ukraine» Sums Up

The admission to the LTSNU through the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” ended.

In connection with the signing of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Right to Education of Persons, Whose Place of Residence Is the Territory of the Antiterrorist Operation” were created additional opportunities of admission to study at universities and obtain state document of complete secondary education for persons whose place of residence is the territory of the antiterrorist operation. This became the basis for the creation of the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” – subdivision of the Admission Committee of LTSNU.

The educational center began work on June 1 in the consultation mode, since 12.07.2016, together with Starobilsk specialized school number 3 was a reception of applications and the conduct of the state final examination in the Ukrainian language and literature, history of Ukraine under the simplified system.

The educational center workers helped in the design documents of applicants, provided recommendations on admission to higher education institutions, contributed to the accommodation of parents and students to the hostel at the time of the annual evaluation and the entrance examinations.

In general, the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” provided 530 consultations for applicants and registered more than 200 applicants, among which was a large number of residents of Stanichno-Luhansky and Popasnjansky districts, the city of Schastya, Luhansk, Rovenky, Khrustalny and Alchevsk.

Applicants, who had the documents on secondary education of the state sample, registered in the educational center, submitted documents to the admission committee of the University and passed the entrance examination in accordance with the admission rules to the SI “LTSNU” on the chosen specialty.

Entrants, who managed to register in the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” before July 27 were given state places by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The most popular professions among the applicants are: “Psychology”, “Primary Education”, “Sociology”, “Computer Science and Information Technology.”

The opening of the educational center provided access to quality education for residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and provided support to the displaced higher education institutions from the temporarily occupied territory. “I believe that the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Right to Education of Persons, Whose Place of Residence Is the Area of Anti-Terrorist Operation” is an important and necessary, as it gives access to training for residents from temporarily occupied territories without passing the external testing” – the first year student, which was registered in the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” and now is studying on the specialty “Biology”, told. Now studies began for the entrants.

The educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” continues its activities in the consultation mode.
