Day of Inventors and Innovators

The third Saturday of September Ukraine celebrates the Day of Inventors and Innovators.

Every year the number of people who register their inventions in our country is growing. Despite all the difficulties associated with the forced evacuation, lack of facilities, LTSNU makes contribute to patenting of inventions.

In Ukraine, there are about 100,000 patents. And this number could be more.

• “The fact is that quite often our young graduate students, young PhDs do not pay attention to the fact that they need to protect their intellectual property rights. There are several reasons: one is not familiar with the registration process, while others are not willing to undergo this procedure because you need to prepare the package of documents, communicate with the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine”, – the vice-head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies  Svitlana Vovk told. If you do not protect their intellectual property rights, we may see how unprotected copyrighted works used by other researchers, who illegally assigned to the scientific results of our scientists. – “The phenomenon like plagiarism is spreading by this way.” – Svitlana Oleksandrivna said.

Oleksandr S. Menyailenko is one of the employees of the university, which annually patent their inventions. The Vice-Rector said that even when in Luhansk was shelling the work in this direction did not suspended. According to him, the path to patenting is not difficult, especially registration of documents.

• “It is difficult to obtain a solution, which would be consistent with the new and global levels. That is hard to do, because the world has changed a lot.”

Every year Ukrainian scientists and inventors continue to work productively. But, unfortunately, not all protect their rights. The Day of Inventors and Innovators brings together teachers of different occupations and professions, but they will have the gift of creativity with which our country and our university is developing rapidly.
