Health Day
15.9.2016
Today, Day of Health was held at the College of LTSNU.
The event was held in cooperation with the charitable foundation “SOS Children’s Village”, with financial support from UNICEF and the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. In the beginning of the sporting event teams were formed by drawing lots. Each team consisted of students from different courses and specialties. This distribution was not random. After all, the main task for the college administration was to unite college students and take freshmen in its close-knit family.
Students gladly traveled stations, showing off their skills to jump, run and think logically. There were seven stations. Each of them had different tasks. Jump in bags while singing songs, put puzzles, climb through the cobwebs from the grid – these, and not just the job of college students performed with great interest and enthusiasm. And despite the fact that some students in the teams were not even familiar with each other, they quickly found a common language and worked together, collectively, and not separately from each other.
Today, there were no winners. According to Svetlana Lopatina, social worker of the “Charitable Foundation” SOS Children’s Village” there should be no winners and losers in the event, because all the participants already are winners.
Day of Health was celebrated in the College of LTSNU for the first time. And according to the Director of the College Natalia V. Motunova this year will be the beginning of a tradition to celebrate World Health Day each year.
After the event, all of the students together with the curators of groups hid under the canopy of the parachute, which symbolized the unity and unification of all college students of LTSNU.
Day of Health left only positive responses and emotions. And this is connected not only with a thorough preparation for the sporting event, but also with the fact that both students and teachers participated in the event. The mass character and the personal example of curators are the essential condition for carrying out such activities.
At the end of the holiday all the students tasted a field porridge.
