Museum of Local Lore

On September 8 the first year students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology visited the Luhansk Regional Museum.

The Luhansk Regional Museum is the largest center of cultural and educational activities, the establishment of culture of the city and the region.

Students under the guidance of the teacher of the Department of Pre-school and Primary Education Oksana Dudnik watched a presentation devoted to the twenty-fifth anniversary of Independence of Ukraine, which was commented by Margarita S. Martynenko.

Under the guidance of the guide Julia D. Chepurnova students visited all the museum exposures including historical, ethnographic, faunal.

However, most attention riveted to the exhibition “Rebellious Donbass: the Path to Peace”, which reflects the events of modern warfare in the East of Ukraine. Photos of fallen heroes, the events from the front, the Ukrainian flag with the signatures of fighters, weapons exhibits made young people think about the fate of Ukraine and their peers.

Students gladly took photos against the background of all exposures.

Visits to all cultural and historical monuments of Starobilsk are included in the work plan for social and humanitarian work of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
