“Starobilsk Mile”

Students of LTSNU won the “Starobilsk Mile”.

The athletic race “Starobilsk Mile” devoted to the Day of Physical Culture and Sports is held annually by Starobilsk District State Administration.

The organizers of this event were the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Starobilsk RSA, the district organization VFSO “Kolos” and the city organization “Spartak”, as well as the charitable organization “SOS Children’s Villages” with the financial support of the “UNICEF”.

This year the sporting event was attended by a record number of participants, including pupils of secondary schools of Starobilsk and Bilovodsk districts, pupils of Starobilsk Humanitarian Pedagogical College and College of LTSNU, as well as students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LTSNU, the Regional Professional Center Education, and the Lysychansk team. 280 people were divided into 4 age categories, and therefore two races were held.

Students of LTSNU showed high results in “Starobilsk mile”. Maksym Denyak and Taras Rybalko won in the age category “Older Boys”.

At the end of the event the lottery numbers of participants was conducted. More than 20 lucky winners received their prizes, among them were sports equipment, office supplies and a subscription to visit a sports club.
