Meetings of the Student Government

A meeting of the Student Council took place at the training and research Institute of Trade, Customer Services and Tourism.

The meeting was devoted to the organization of work of the Student Council for a new academic year and the further development of self-government among the students living in the hostel.

At the beginning of the meeting the Deputy Director of the TR ITCST on social and humanitarian work M.M. Chumak. Mykhailo Mykhailovych briefed the freshmen with the basic tasks of the functioning of the student government. The main emphasis of the speech was focused on the principles of student democracy and benefits of student self-organization for youth. The self-management instills and develops students’ essential for professional and everyday quality of life. First of all it is the ability to make decisions, sense of responsibility and discipline, the formation of the ability to work effectively in a collective, pursuit of innovative experience, the development of private initiative and original thinking, the ability to express own views, the formation of needs to constantly improve the educational and professional level throughout life .

After the speech of M.M. Chumak, the second year student, Chairman of the Student Council of TR ITCST Vladislav Igoshin took the floor. He acquainted the participants with the results of the academic year 2015-2016. He informed the present that during the past academic year were held concerts, events, actions which were attended by representatives of the Student Council. The meeting participants agreed with the final report of the decisions and gave a satisfactory assessment of the work done during the year. From present speeches were proposals to continue the work on the planned directions and requests the Council to be more proactive, independent and responsible.

After discussion of the listened information and the amendments, the Council approved the work plan for the 2016-2017 year by the open vote. Vladislav Igoshin also informed the audience about the need for the organization of the Student Hostel Council. During the discussion of the above mentioned issues, they outlined three main areas of work of the Council: sports, cultural, housing and household.

The special attention was paid to issues of compliance with sanitary norms by hostel students, safety rules, respect for the property, the organization of work on the improvement, the implementation of internal rules and organization of students for their strict compliance in order to prevent violations of internal regulations.

Upon completion, the protocols of the meeting were approved, taking into account all proposals and suggestions.
