Exam to Postgraduate Studies

Today the entrance exam to Postgraduate Studies in a foreign language was held at LTSNU.

The exam was attended by the future applicants of PhD degree in the field: the Science of Education, Professional Training, Art of Music, History and Archeology, Philology, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Mathematics, Agriculture, Social Work.

This year was the reform of higher education. The requirements for the entrance exams to the Postgraduate Studies did not remained unchanged. Among the current innovations are test items that correspond to the level B, that corresponds to the international requirements determining the level of knowledge of a foreign language.

Also the period of study in the Postgraduate Studies changed. This year, the standard period of preparation PhD graduate is four years. The first year is training, the following three years are writing of scientific work.

Today more than 30 people worked at the test tasks. Among the future applicants of higher education of PhD degree there are some who today did not participate in the exams, because they already have an international certificate of level B and C.

The commission member, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Svitlana Shehavtsova is satisfied with the exam results.

The last exam on specialties is scheduled for September 7.
