Knowledge Feast
1.9.2016
LTSNU celebrated the Day of Knowledge.
The beginning of autumn is traditionally an exciting and long-awaited celebration for teachers and their students, as on September 1 studies at schools and universities start throughout Ukraine.
This year the Feast of Knowledge began with the introductory lecture “Ukraine – 25, From Independence to the Free Country,” which contributed to the realization of events of political, socio-economic and cultural life of the country over the past 25 years. Student’s youth once again familiarized with major historical events of the statehood of our Motherland and could understand personal responsibility for the fate of the state and the Ukrainian people.
The solemn meeting devoted to Day of Knowledge began with the entry of the Ukrainian State Flag and the Flag of LTSNU. During the execution of the national anthem, every student felt that he belong to the family of the University and realized himself as a real citizen and a patriot of Ukraine.
Special guests including Deputy Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration A.P. Lishyk and the Chairman of Starobilsk District Administration A.I. Garkavy attended the celebration. They congratulated teachers and students of the University with the beginning of the academic year and wished inspiration and scientific achievements. In addition, the celebration was attended by soldiers entered our university.
The Rector of LTSNU Serhii Savchenko congratulated students, teachers and guests. He also appealed to the soldiers and thanked them for their courage and defense of our country.
A nice gift for every freshman has become a badge with the emblem of LTSNU, which is a symbol of belonging to our Alma Mater. However, the most emotional was the moment of pronouncing the solemn student oath. Entering into a large family of Ukrainian students, freshmen solemnly swore to inherit intestate luminaries of science, respect for teachers and friends, contribute to the preservation of the best traditions of our university, successful training and selfless work to bring it glory and honor.
A striking addition of the holiday were creative performances of active university students, which gave unforgettable emotions and impressions to all present.
A student of LTSNU is an honorary title, which requires commitment, perseverance and diligence. We wish teachers of one of the oldest universities in the East region inspiration, success and research achievements.
