Celebration of the Flag Day of Ukraine

Celebration of the Flag Day of Ukraine took place at LTSNU.

Today LTSNU and all Starobilsk land joined the district celebrations to mark the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian national and state flag came to the heart of our nation by thorny ways of being. During the historical achievements, it became a symbol of the struggle for national and social rights. It embodies the age-old desire for peace, labor, beauty and richness of our native land.

Over the past two years, the Flag of Ukraine has become over the official symbol, because it has acquired a new importance, and, above all, has become a symbol of free, invincible man. Its yellow-blue colors throughout the historical development symbolized the struggle for freedom, and now, more than ever, it is a pride for every Ukrainian!

The celebration began with the ceremony of raising the National Flag of Ukraine at the central square, which was attended by employees, teachers and students of LTSNU.

The People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LNU Vitaliy S. Kurylo addressed a welcoming speech to the audience. He mentioned the historical significance of Ukrainian flag and wished peace and prosperity to all Ukrainians.

After all the celebration ceremony, they held laying flowers to the monument to Taras Shevchenko and the memorial sign to those who died for the independence of Ukraine.

Upon completion of the official part there was held a festive concert for all Starobilsk citizens and guests of the city. Here the variety and symphonic band “Truby Polesia” and the vocal ensemble “Grain of Love” congratulated everybody on the holiday.

Flag of Ukraine is a symbol of our independence, our European future. Therefore, they are proud of it and celebrate together!
