Students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports showed good results in athletics.

From July 14 to July 16, 2016, the Cup of Ukraine in athletics among athletes with disabilities in violation of the musculoskeletal system, violation of the mental and physical disabilities, visual impairment took place in the city of Krapivnitskyi (Kirovohrad). The competition was attended by students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the SE “LTSNU”. Athletes traditionally showed good results, having won 20 medals, including 12 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze.

Competition results:

• Nicholay Zhabnyak (the 5th year student, specialty “Sports”) – 1st place shot put, 1st place discus throwing;
• Timofiy Kholodov (the 4th year student, specialty “Sports”) – 1st place shot put, 1st place discus throwing;
• Oleksandr Romanchenko (the 2nd year student, specialty “Human Health”) – 3rd place shot put, 3rd place discus throwing;
• Serhii Dvortsov (the 5th year student, specialty “Physical Education”) – 1st place shot put, 1st place discus throwing, 1st place javelin throwing;
• Oleksii Svystun (the 5th year student, specialty “Physical Education”) – 1st place shot put, 1st place discus throwing, 1st place javelin throwing;
• Pavlo Bogatyrev (the 2nd year student, specialty “Physical Education”) – 1st place discus throwing, 2nd place javelin throwing.

It is necessary to mention Oleksii Svystun and Oleksandr Romanchenko who showed excellent results by following the standards of Sports Masters of Ukraine.

Note that athletes train under the guidance of the Honored Coach of Ukraine Rymma F. Starostina and teacher-trainer Oleg P. Chornobay.
