Participation in the Meeting of the Presidium of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine

The First Vice-Rector Vitalii Kurylo and Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Anton Bader participated in the meeting of the Presidium of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine. 

On March 12, 2026, the first vice-rector of the university Vitalii Kurylo and professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Anton Bader took part in a meeting of the Presidium of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine.

Vitalii Kurylo is the head of the Luhansk regional organization of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine, and Anton Bader is the deputy head of this regional organization, which testifies to their active participation in the development of the local history movement, scientific and educational activities, and the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the region.

During the meeting, topical issues of the development of the local history movement in Ukraine were considered, in particular, the report on the work of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine for the first quarter of 2026, approval of the reports of the regional organizations of the NSKU, co-opting new members into the Presidium, as well as discussing the Program for the Development of Local History for 2026–2036. The participants paid special attention to the preparation of the next All-Ukrainian Scientific and Local History Conference in 2026, the reform of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Local History”, issues of cooperation with state authorities and recognition of activists of the local history movement.

The participation of university representatives in the work of this Presidium is an important component of the development of scientific, educational and outreach activities, strengthening professional contacts and expanding cooperation with leading scientific and public institutions of Ukraine.
