Guest Lecture by the Head of the Novovolynsk Urban Territorial Community

On March 10, a guest lecture by the head of the Novovolynsk urban territorial community, Borys Karpus, was held on the topic “Youth as an architect of change: how to build successful interaction with the authorities. The experience of Novovolynsk.”

The event was organized for bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate students I10 “Social Work and Counseling” and 231 “Social Work” under the educational programs “Social Work and Counseling. Psychosocial Services”, “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” and “Social Work”.

During the meeting, the speaker shared practical experience of cooperation between local governments and youth, spoke about the possibilities of involving young people in community development and participation in making important decisions. Separately, the issues of self-realization of youth, creation of conditions for professional development and employment of young specialists in the community were discussed.

Participants had the opportunity to learn more about modern approaches to the interaction of authorities and youth, as well as ask the speaker questions about the implementation of youth initiatives and opportunities for active participation in public life.

The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue and aroused considerable interest among students. The Social Pedagogy Department thanks Borys Karpus for a meaningful and interesting lecture, and all participants for their active participation in the event.
