Honoring Taras Shevchenko’s Birthday

The ER IBMPE  and the ER IMIT honored the 212th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday.

On March 9, Ukraine and the world celebrate the 212th anniversary of the birth of our spiritual prophet, outstanding poet, talented artist and far-sighted thinker – Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.

For every Ukrainian, the figure of the Kobzar is a symbol of invincibility, national dignity and endless love for the native land. His work is not just literature of the past, but a powerful intellectual and spiritual foundation on which our modern identity rests. Today, in times of great trials, his prophetic words “Fight – you will overcome!” sound more relevant than ever, adding strength and faith to each of us.

On the occasion of the significant date, employees and students of the institutes gathered together to pay tribute to the great artist.

According to good tradition, a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko was held. Representatives of the university community bowed their heads in a moment of silence, remembering the invaluable contribution of the Kobzar to the development of the Ukrainian language, culture and statehood.

“Shevchenko is not only the past, he is our present and future. His desire for freedom and truth are the values ​​that we instill in our students every day,” the participants of the event noted.

Taras Hryhorovych left us not only a collection of poems, but also an example of how a person, thanks to talent and strength of spirit, can change the course of history. His artistic heritage and philosophical views remain the object of in-depth study for young scientists and artists of our university.
