CURRENT INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES (MARCH 2026)

The International Relations Office informs students and academic staff about current international educational opportunities and programmes of academic cooperation.

  1. Scholarship Programme of the Government of Romania for Foreign Citizens (2026-2027)

The call for applications for the Scholarship Programme of the Government of Romania for foreign citizens for the 2026-2027 academic year is now open.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania has announced a competition for state scholarships for foreign citizens.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online platform Study in Romania or by the link https://scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro.

To participate in the competition, applicants must:

  • create an account on the platform;
  • complete the online application form;
  • upload the required documents.

Application deadline: from 16 February to 31 March 2026.

Detailed information about the programme conditions is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania in Romanian, English and French.

The selection results will be communicated to applicants by email approximately by 15 July 2026.

  1. Cooperation Opportunities with Universiti Albukhary (Malaysia)

New opportunities for academic cooperation between Ukrainian higher education institutions and Universiti Albukhary (Malaysia) are opening.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, during a meeting between the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia and the leadership of Universiti Albukhary, the Malaysian side expressed interest in developing scientific and academic exchanges between researchers and lecturers, and in establishing cooperation between higher education institutions of Ukraine and Malaysia.

In addition, the university has announced its readiness to provide up to 500 scholarships for Ukrainian students.

The scholarships include:

  • full tuition coverage
  • accommodation expenses

The funding will be provided through the university’s trust fund.

According to the available information, priority will be given to applicants from low-income families and orphans.
