Orientation Conference on Writing Qualification Papers

On February 23, the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism held an orientation conference for the bachelor’s students majoring in Journalism. The meeting was dedicated to writing qualification papers.

During the event, the department’s teachers introduced the students in detail to the requirements for the content, structure and design of the qualification work, outlined the main stages of its preparation, and emphasized the importance of adhering to academic integrity and the logic of scientific and creative presentation of the material.

Particular attention was paid to the practical aspect: the participants were shown creative projects of past graduates as examples of the successful implementation of ideas within the educational program. The teachers analyzed their concept, genre specificity, structural features, and compliance with professional standards. The explanatory notes to the projects were separately considered – their structure, content, requirements for formulating the goal, tasks, object and subject of the study, description of the practical part, and conclusions.

The conference was held in the format of an open dialogue: students had the opportunity to ask questions, clarify organizational aspects, and receive recommendations on the choice of topics and format of their own creative project. The event contributed to the systematization of knowledge and the preparation of applicants for responsible and high-quality performance of the final certification work.
