Our Graduate Valerii Semenenko Died

Very sad news… In the national war with the Russian occupier, while fulfilling his civic duty, a true son of the Ukrainian people, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts (Institute of Culture and Arts) of LTSNU, Valerii Semenenko, died courageously.

A wonderful musician, one of the best accordion players – graduates of our university, born to be a true artist, he did not hesitate to defend his Motherland in difficult times for the country!

Valerii was a deep and highly professional musician, with a refined musical sense and intuition. A bright accordion player-performer, having become a laureate of four international competitions (in three of which he received first prizes), during his studies and after it he prepared and realized several solo programs, gave many concert performances, had a tradition of playing a solo concert on his birthday. After completing his studies at the university, Valerii successfully worked as a teacher and accompanist at the department of musical art and choreography of the university, had sincere intentions to continue his artistic ascent and enter creative postgraduate studies… But, to his great regret, fate decreed otherwise…

Sleep peacefully, dear defender! A low bow to you and boundless respect! GLORY TO THE HERO!

Valerii’s funeral will take place on Thursday, February 26 in Zaporizhia.
