Meeting on Granting Student Projects
23.2.2026
On February 18, representatives of the Social Pedagogy Department, Natalia Ostrovska and Natalia Otroshchenko, participated in a meeting on granting student projects.
Such a meeting became necessary because, starting from the 2nd semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, the implementation of the elective discipline “Youth Policy and Youth Work” has begun at our university. The discipline is implemented within the framework of the project “Youth Participation and Politics: Strengthening Youth Involvement, Governance, Budgeting and Development of Life Skills in Lviv, Volyn and Transcarpathian Regions”, which is implemented by the NGO “Youth Platform” with the assistance of UNICEF and with the financial support of the Government of Germany through the German state development bank KfW.
The expected result of studying the discipline is not only an increase in the level of professional competencies of education seekers, but also the opportunity to receive grant support for the implementation of their own projects in the field of youth policy.
That is why the purpose of the working meeting was to discuss the process of granting student projects, areas of responsibility and key functions between the parties involved.
Participation in the meeting contributes to strengthening the practical component of the educational process and opens up new opportunities for the active involvement of student youth in decision-making processes and community development.
The next step will be the direct development of their own grant projects by students, the formation of project ideas in accordance with the identified priorities and filling out application forms for participation in the competition. This will allow students to apply the acquired knowledge in practice and gain experience in preparing full-fledged project applications.
The project “Youth Participation and Politics: Strengthening Youth Involvement, Governance, Budgeting and Development of Life Skills in Lviv, Volyn and Zakarpattia Regions” is implemented by the NGO “Youth Platform” with the assistance of UNICEF and with the financial support of the Government of Germany
through the German state development bank KfW.
