The Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism congratulates you on International Mother Language Day.

Language is both our means of communication and an integral part of our lives, our identity, culture, history, traditions. It unites us, helps us express our thoughts, feelings and dreams.

Our native language is the language we speak with our parents, friends, and relatives. It is the language that transmits the wisdom of generations, preserves our heritage and shapes our worldview.

Each of us can contribute to the preservation and development of our native language.

Read books, communicate in Ukrainian, support our writers and artists. Let our language sound in every home, in every heart. We wish all of us to be proud of our language, to protect it and to develop it.
