“Trident is a Symbol of Your Freedom”

An hour of statehood entitled “The Trident is a symbol of your freedom” was held at the Brianka Professional College of LTSNU.

On February 19, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the State Emblem – a holiday established to honor a symbol that has passed through the ages. On this occasion, the Brianka Professional College hosted an hour of statehood called “The Trident is a symbol of your freedom.”

The hosts of the event reminded the students that the Trident is not just a coat of arms, but a sign of the princely state of Volodymyr the Great, the Cossack victory and modern independent Ukraine. Those present plunged into history: from the first mentions of the trident on seals and coins to its official approval by the Verkhovna Rada on February 19, 1992.

Special attention was paid during the event to the meaning of the symbol in today’s conditions. “Today, the Trident has become a talisman for the military and civilians. It unites Ukrainians around the world, reminding us of what we are fighting for,” the speakers noted.
