Cooperation with the Vorokhta Community

On February 18, an online meeting was held between the university and representatives of the Department of Education, Culture, Family, Youth and Sports of the Vorokhta Village Council of the Nadvirna District of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region.

The purpose of the event was to establish partnership and sign an Agreement on Cooperation.

The meeting was organized and moderated by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology for Social and Humanitarian Work, Vira Fedorivna. The event was attended by the rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Olena Karaman, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, Yaroslava Yurkiv, representatives of the university’s marketing department, the head of the department of education, culture, family, youth and sports of the Vorokhta settlement council, Nataliia Kostiuk, as well as specialists and employees of the education department.

During the meeting, the rector, Olena Karaman, presented Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, outlined the history of its formation, modern structure and key advantages of education. In turn, Nataliia Kostiuk presented the educational potential of the Vorokhta community, focusing on the need for speech therapists, and invited representatives of the university to hold career guidance meetings with students from the community.

Within the framework of the dialogue, the parties agreed to organize mutual visits: community representatives were invited to the city of Dolyna, and the university community was invited to the urban-type settlement of Vorokhta for further development of cooperation.

Following the meeting, the rector Olena Karaman expressed hope for effective interaction and proposed to conclude an Agreement on Cooperation with the Department of Education, Culture, Family, Youth and Sports of the Vorokhta Settlement Council, represented by the head Natalia Kostiuk. The Agreement was signed in an online format.

The implementation of such a partnership opens up new opportunities for Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: expanding the geography of career guidance work, strengthening ties with territorial communities, ensuring practice-oriented training of specialists and strengthening the university’s position as an active participant in the development of the educational space of Ukraine.
