Participation in the Discussion of the Draft Professional Standard

On February 12, the Special Education Department took part in the discussion of the draft professional standard “Teacher-defectologist” during a meeting of the Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Correctional Educators”.

Within the professional dialogue, the participants focused on modern requirements for the training of specialists in the field of special education, outlined the key competencies of a future special education teacher and discussed practical aspects of his/her activities in an inclusive educational environment.

The participation of department representatives in such a professional discussion contributes to the improvement of educational programs, ensures that the training of students meets the current needs of society and allows integrating modern professional standards into the system of training future specialists.
