“Latest Technological Trends in the Smart Industry and the Internet of Things”

On January 29–30, a landmark event for our scientific community took place – the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Latest Technological Trends in the Smart Industry and the Internet of Things.”

The ER IMIT was not only an active participant, but also a co-organizer of the International Scientific and Practical Conference. This large-scale event was the result of the successful implementation of the Memorandums of Cooperation between the State University of Trade and Economics, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Al-Rafidayn University (Baghdad, Iraq) and the University of the National Education Commission (Krakow, Poland).

The opening ceremony of the conference on January 29 was marked by inspiring speeches by the rector of our university, Professor Olena Karaman, and the rector of Al-Rafidayn University, Dr. Mahmoud Javad Abu Al Sher. The professional discussion, which unfolded under the moderation of Professor Yuri Khlaponin and Dr. Namir Kasim, was conducted exclusively in English, emphasizing the global status of the event. The geography of the speakers covered the whole world: from Canadian cybersecurity expert Adam Asher (Stream Security, Toronto) and Polish professors Marek Aleksander and Anna Korchenko to representatives of leading Ukrainian universities – KAI, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and DTEU.

The high level of submitted materials from participants from Ukraine, Great Britain, Canada, Poland, Iraq and Slovakia confirmed the relevance of the chosen topic. Following the conference, the selected articles will traditionally be published in publications indexed by the Scopus database.
