Meeting with the Lubny Branch of the NGO “Defense of the State”

A meeting was held at the Veteran Development Center with the participation of the head of the regional branch, Petro Vorona.

On February 13, 2026, the Veteran Development Center  of LTSNU hosted a meeting with the Lubny branch of the NGO “Defense of the State” with the participation of the head of the regional branch Petro Vorona – Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor of the Social Pedagogy Department of LTSNU, Head of the NGO “Defense of the State” in Poltava Region, a participant in the hostilities.

The event was attended by representatives of the Lubny Union of Officers of Ukraine, participants in the Russian-Ukrainian war, ATO veterans, “Afghan” soldiers and representatives of the university community.

During the communication, which took place in the format of an open dialogue, the topic was about hostilities on the territory of other states, as well as how in different historical periods people became hostages of circumstances, political regimes and propaganda. Many veterans, hardened by the war, later stood up for the defense of independent Ukraine. Their experience, civic position and personal path are an example of responsibility, courage and true devotion to their country. Each participant had the opportunity to express their own opinion, based on real facts and life experience.

The meeting became an important platform for understanding historical lessons and affirming common values. After all, despite all the trials, the Ukrainian spirit remains invincible, that unites, inspires and leads forward in the struggle for freedom and the future of Ukraine.
