Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas: Advice from Future Marketers

On February 13, Liudmyla Horbatiuk, Head of the Department of Economics and Marketing, held an advisory hour for the 1st-year students majoring in Marketing and 3rd-year students majoring in Economics.

During the event, students found out what gifts could be for Valentine’s Day. They considered the current trends of this foreign holiday and the challenges for brands.

In particular, Viktoriшa Borysenko, a graduate of the Economics Department, provided interesting statistics about the top gifts that are most often given on this holiday. She also said that marketers advise paying attention to personalized and emotional presents: jewelry with engraving and coordinates of the place of the first meeting, perfumes with a special aroma, romantic vacations with a full package of services, other gifts that create unforgettable emotions.

During the event, some of the students even demonstrated a gift made with their own hands.

At the end of the meeting, the students came to the conclusion that a gift for this holiday does not depend on its cost, the main thing is care and sincere emotions. So we exchange Valentine’s cards and give each other pleasant things.
