Official Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland

On January 16, 2026, the Head of the Ademic Council, Vitalii Kurylo, and the Rector, Olena Karaman, paid an official visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland (Kyiv).

The delegation from the Luhansk region was represented by: the head of the Starobilsk district military administration and representatives of the Starobilsk Humanitarian Hub, the administration of the Luhansk region’s higher education institutions – Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Volodymyr Dal East Ukrainian National University, Luhansk State Institute of Culture and Arts, the Professional Art College of the Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts, as well as the head of the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The topic of the meeting with the Charge d’Affaires ai of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Piotr Lukasiewicz, was the problems of twice-relocated educational and cultural institutions of the Luhansk region and the possibility of implementing joint projects in the fields of education, culture, economy, and local government.

Piotr Lukasiewicz expressed high respect for the guests who preserved their identity in the unequal struggle with the Russian aggressor; thanked the Starobilsk District Military Administration and Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for preserving the historical memory of the victims of the Polish people during the Second World War, and for taking care of the Polish Military Cemetery in the city of Starobilsk.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University expresses its sincere gratitude to the Polish Government and people for the enormous support of Ukraine, Ukrainian educators and scientists in defending the freedom, independence and sovereignty of our country.
