Working Visit to the Rehabilitation Department of the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital

Representatives of the university made a working visit to the rehabilitation department of the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital of the Lubny City Council.

Head of the Career Development Center Larysa Kochura and lecturer of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of LTSNU, bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, European champion in track cycling, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Iryna Yanovych, as part of a working visit, visited the rehabilitation department of the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital and got acquainted with the conditions for the rehabilitation of military personnel. Physical activity and psychological rehabilitation and socialization of veterans are an important condition for the life of combatants after returning from the front.

During the meeting, modern equipment and simulators of the rehabilitation space used for the physical rehabilitation of military personnel were inspected.

Special attention was paid to the development of adaptive sports as a system of physical activity, which helps veterans regain self-confidence and join a community of like-minded people. These meetings actively contribute to the process of physical and mental health recovery and the prospects for the development of cooperation in this direction.

The Department of Olympic and Professional Sports actively introduces into the educational process, within the framework of the OK “Adaptive Sports”, innovations in recovery programs through physical activity and competitions, taking into account the individual capabilities of veterans.

Such visits are an important step towards the development of inter-sectoral cooperation and support for those who defend Ukraine every day.
