Meeting of the Specialized Council

On January 16, 2026, a meeting of the Specialized Council was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

A dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 052 – Political Science by Andrii Mykhailovych Kokhanovskyi on the topic: “The Institute of Armed Forces in the Political Space of the 21st Century” was submitted for consideration and defense.

The scientific advisor – Svitlana Oleksandrivna Vovk, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The Council was headed by Anton Vasilovych Bader, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The invited opponents were Svitlana Mykhailovych Naumkina, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Political Sciences and Law of the State Educational Institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”; Volodymyr Fedorovych Smolianiuk, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Yevhenii Bereznyak Military Academy.

The reviewers were Liudmyla Oleksandrivna Novoskoltseva, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of LTSNU; Olena Volodymyrivna Mezhenska, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of LTSNU.

By the decision of the Specialized Academic Council and the results of an open vote of the council members, the researcher was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
