Our Graduate Represents Luhansk Region at the National Level

Ilia Tochenyi, a bachelor’s degree graduate (2025) in the specialty C7 “Journalism” of LTSNU, joined the rotating composition of the National Youth Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine based on the results of an open competitive selection.

The decision was made by the competition commission based on a comprehensive assessment of candidates. The official results of the competition were announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine on December 23, 2025. In total, 8 representatives from different regions of Ukraine were elected to the Council – from the public administration sector, public organizations and youth environments.

In the National Council, Ilia Tochenyi represents the Milove settlement military administration, where he works as the chief specialist of the youth and sports sector of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports. His participation in the advisory and consultative body under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is important for representing the interests of the youth of the Luhansk region at the national level.

For the front-line region, this is an opportunity to be heard in the formation of youth policy, taking into account the realities of war, temporary occupation, relocation and dispersion of youth throughout the country. The presence of a representative of the Luhansk region in the National Council creates an additional channel of communication between the youth of the communities and central authorities.
