Pre-Defense of Qualification Theses at the Department of Biology and Agronomy

The Department of Biology and Agronomy held a pre-defense of qualification theses for master’s students.

The Department of Biology and Agronomy held a pre-defense of qualification theses for master’s students of full-time and part-time study of the educational programs “Agronomy”, “Secondary education. Biology and Human Health”, “Biology” (specialties “Agronomy”, “Secondary Education. Biology and Human Health”, “Biology and Biochemistry”). 

The pre-defense lasted a week according to the class schedule.  All the presented qualification works concerned topical topics of scientific research in the relevant fields. Agronomic works were mainly devoted to modern trends in the technologies of growing the most common crops: corn, soybeans, winter wheat, peas and others.

The vast majority of the experiments covered farms in the Poltava region, therefore the recommendations for production have regional significance. The works devoted to the peculiarities of the methodology of teaching biology and the basics of health at school interested in modern approaches to the educational process, the use of IT technologies, and the successful combination of elements of teaching technology for different age groups. Methodological recommendations of future biology teachers contain interesting elements that allow solving modern problems related to the need to use distance learning methods.

All the presented works were discussed, and recommendations were given to the students to improve their reports and presentations. The teachers of the Department of Biology and Agronomy noted the high level of training of the students and their readiness to defend their qualification works.
