On the eve of the Constitution Day a briefing on the national-patriotic education took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine a meeting of teachers in the form of a briefing on the national-patriotic education, using multimedia presentation was held at the Regional Centre for Professional Education of LTSNU (Starobilsk Subdivision).

In the current social and political conditions the patriotic education of children and youth have the priority importance. Here the teacher, his personal example, his views and practical actions play an important role.  The patriotic education of every citizen is should be carried out by each teacher on each lesson and after school.

The task of each teacher – foster in students of national and universal values, personal qualities of the citizen of Ukraine. This can be done through the use of Ukrainian national symbols, yellow and blue colors and Ukrainian traditional clothes, so the teachers were proposed to make a costume Photo sketch, perform folk songs and play traditional games.

The effectiveness of the patriotic education depends largely on the forms and methods of its organization, so teachers have been proposed methodology memo on the recommendation concerning techniques and methods of national-patriotic education. During the event, teachers filled a gap in their knowledge by interesting facts about Ukraine.

It is important that each institution will become a center for formation of a citizen-patriot of Ukraine. Accordingly, all activities should be filled with the civil-patriotic content, assert the idea of common interests and mutual respect of all citizens of Ukraine.
