The premiere of the opera”Winter and Spring”

The Department of Music and Choreography has prepared the magical opera “Winter and Spring”.

On December 3, the premiere of the opera “Winter and Spring” based on the work of Mykola Lysenko took place at the Poltava City Culture and Leisure Center.

Students of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography of the Faculty of Arts managed to create a large-scale production based on the work of Mykola Lysenko, an outstanding Ukrainian composer and author of music for the anthem of Ukraine.

Students majoring in “Musical Art” and “Secondary Education. Musical Art” performed the main and secondary roles, and the mass scenes were provided by the “Vivo” choir. In addition, students of the specialty “Performing Arts. Choreography” (as dance directors) and the wind orchestra of the Faculty of Arts, which provided live musical accompaniment, took part.

The director-producer was Yanina Vyshegorodska, a teacher of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography, and the concertmasters were Tetiana Ostretsova and Olena Ponomarenko. The choir conductor was the unchanging Viktoriia Yunda, and the dance director was Liudmyla Sokil.
