Eternal Memory to the Hero!

We announce with deep sadness that on November 25, 2025, the heart of the Defender of Ukraine, graduate of the specialty “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology”, master’s student majoring in”Psychology” of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Oleksandr Ivanovych Pupko, stopped beating.

Oleksandr was a true son of Ukraine – courageous, loyal, honest and indomitable.

His military path was not just service, but a conscious mission. He dreamed of becoming a military chaplain, helping his brothers, supporting those who look death in the eyes every day on the front line, and did everything possible for our Victory.

For the university community, he will remain an example of a young man who combined a love of knowledge, inner strength, spirituality and readiness to defend the state until his last breath.

He was a reliable comrade for friends , a grateful and hardworking student – for teachers, pride and unquenchable light – for his family. 

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University expresses sincere condolences to family, loved ones, friends and everyone who was lucky enough to know Oleksandr.

We share your pain and bow our heads in grief.

May the bright memory of his courage, humanity and love for Ukraine forever remain in our hearts.

His sacrifice is the pain and pride of the people, it is part of our history, our indomitable spirit and our common Victory, which he brought closer.
