Meeting of Students with Military Personnel

An informational and educational meeting of students on the topic “War for Independence in the Context of a New Generation of Hybrid Wars” was held at the Veterans Support and Development Center “Veteran Hub Myrhorod”.

The event was organized by the Veterans Support Center in conjunction with the public organization “Defense of the State”.

The lecture for students was given by a specialist of the Veterans Affairs Department – Liudmyla Ivanivna Pashchenko, who detailed the features of modern warfare, emphasizing the interaction of military, information, cybernetic and diplomatic tools in confronting the aggressor. Particular attention was paid to issues of cybersecurity, information confrontation and the role of information hygiene in conditions of hybrid aggression.

An important part of the event was the speeches of military personnel and veterans. Bohdan YAKIMENKO, Head of the Veterans Affairs Department, and Roman HUTNIK, Deputy Head of the NGO “Defense of the State”, shared personal stories of participation in hostilities. They spoke about the challenges of modern warfare, the power of brotherhood, the moral stability of the military and the extraordinary importance of support from civil society.

During the meeting, the initiative of student youth was also noted. With the funds collected by themselves, students prepared gifts for military personnel for the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressing their gratitude and support for the defenders.

The event contributed to raising awareness among young people about the realities of hybrid warfare, the formation of patriotic consciousness, and a better understanding of the role of Ukrainian defenders in the struggle for the independence of the state.
