Cooperation Agreement

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Luhansk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital signed a Cooperation Agreement.
On December 3, 2025, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University concluded a Cooperation Agreement with the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise of the Luhansk Regional Council “Luhansk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital”. The document was signed by the Rector of LTSNU, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Karaman and the general director of the hospital, Honored Doctor of Ukraine Svitlana Osheko.
The partnership covers key areas of social and humanitarian, educational and methodological, scientific and research, scientific and practical, educational, informational and innovative activities.
The purpose of the signed agreement is to develop the educational, scientific, socio-educational, innovative, practical, professional and personnel potential of both institutions, as well as to form a common development space where science interacts with practice for the benefit of the community.
The Agreement defines the following priority areas:
- organization and coordination of educational, socio-educational, preventive measures and scientific research;
- ensuring conditions for internships;
- improving the educational process and increasing the professional competence of personnel;
- providing mutual information and advisory services;
- creating new opportunities for innovative activities.
During the signing of the Agreement, a sincere, meaningful conversation took place. Svitlana Pavlivna Osheko shared the hospital’s development plans, outlined the key areas of its work, and spoke about the specifics of the children’s audience the institution works with. They also recalled the difficult history of the hospital’s relocation from the temporarily occupied territory and its subsequent establishment in a new location.
The meeting participants discussed opportunities for joint projects, in particular in terms of educational programs, practical training, volunteer activities, and the implementation of social initiatives.
The hospital’s general director thanked the rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and university representatives for their support and expressed confidence in future joint achievements. In response, Olena Karaman assured that the university would continue to be there for her, as both institutions share a common mission — to serve people, despite the challenges of the times.
At the end of the meeting, Olena Leonidivna presented Svitlana Osheko with a symbolic souvenir — Taras Shevchenko, who personifies the spirituality, resilience, and indomitability of Luhansk National University. This gift was an expression of sincere gratitude and respect and a symbol of a new stage of cooperation.
The conclusion of the Agreement opens up a number of important opportunities for the university:
- expanding the base of practical training for students of humanitarian, social, psychological, medical-pedagogical and managerial specialties;
- participation in real social and medical-humanitarian projects, which strengthens the practical component of training;
- conducting joint scientific research aimed at improving children’s health and developing the medical and social sphere;
- increasing the prestige of LTSNU as an active partner uniting the educational and social community;
- forming a value-oriented educational environment in which students learn professionalism, responsibility and service to society.
This partnership is another step towards strengthening the educational front, developing human potential and creating a new space for interaction between science, medicine and society.
