Roundtable “The Reality of a Graphic Designer”

On November 27, at the initiative of the Design Department, a Roundtable with a practicing designer was held in the workshops on the topic: “The Reality of a Graphic Designer.”

The speaker was Maksym Chubenko, a graphic and web designer at SDC Verifier. 

The Department of Cultural Values ​​and Design Expertise of the University of Customs and Finance (Dnipro) was involved in the event, consisting of the teaching staff and students of the Higher Education Institution “Graphic Design”.

The event was dedicated to modern trends and realities of the professional activity of a graphic designer.

The meeting took place in the format of an open dialogue. The modern professional realities that a graphic designer faces were discussed; requirements for a high-quality portfolio and recommendations for its formation; sources of inspiration in the creative activity of a designer; current tools and software used in the field of graphic design.

An active discussion was held on the issues of using AI in design activities and determining copyright for a design product.

In the end, the roundtable participants thanked Maksym Chubenko for his insightful explanations, professional advice, and story about the realities of design work.
