Trainings on Conscious Stress Resistance at LTSNU

A series of practical classes dedicated to developing conscious stress resistance skills continues at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Recently, another training for teachers of the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU was held, organized within the framework of the activities of the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation.

The organizer of the online event was Anton Nazmiiev, assistant professor of the Psychology Department, Doctor of Philosophy, head of the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation, and psychologist of the Veteran Development Center. It was he who initiated the author’s series of practical classes “Conscious Stress Resistance: Understanding Yourself and Managing Your Emotional State”, which are aimed at supporting teaching staff in modern conditions.

The training was traditionally conducted by Nina Likhareva, a psychologist at the Center for Mental Health (Kyiv). During the class, she shared with teachers self-regulation tools, methods of conscious breathing, stress reduction techniques, and ways to restore internal resources during periods of increased professional workload. The specialist paid special attention to the practices of tracking one’s own emotional reactions, forming the skill of “stopping” in stressful situations, as well as creating individual strategies to support mental well-being.

The training participants learned about:

  • the mechanisms of stress and its impact on cognitive and professional functions;
  • the role of awareness as a tool for restoring emotional balance;
  • practical methods for quickly stabilizing the state during acute stress;
  • techniques for minimizing professional burnout;
  • ways to form a personal psycho-emotional support plan.

Such activities are extremely important for the university teachers, as they help:

  • to maintain their own working capacity and emotional stability in difficult conditions;
  • to interact more effectively with students;
  • to prevent burnout and improve the quality of the educational process;
  • to create a healthy psychological environment in an educational institution.

The series of trainings on conscious stress resistance continues, providing teachers with effective tools for maintaining mental health and increasing the effectiveness of professional activities.
