Career Guidance Marathon in the Myrhorod Community

On November 25, the Marketing Department team of LTSNU continued to implement a career guidance program in the Myrhorod community.

This time, university specialists held meetings with pupils from Kybyntsi Gymnasium and Khomutets Gymnasium of Myrhorod City Council. During the visits, the 10–11th grade pupils learned about the opportunities to participate in the All-Ukrainian Marathon of Professionally Oriented Competitions “I Choose My Future”. They came to know about the three areas of creative tests, the features of preparing works, evaluation criteria and examples of results that help identify the individual abilities and professional interests of the participants.

Representatives of LTSNU explained the university’s educational programs, the structure of educational and scientific institutes, admission requirements, opportunities for academic mobility, international internships and further employment. Special attention was paid to the advantages of the Marathon for educational institutions, teachers and the participants themselves: certificates, awards, incentive prizes and the opportunity to receive a discount on tuition for winners and prize-winners.

During the meetings, the pupils actively participated in the conversation: they filled out questionnaires, asked questions about the competition and the admission campaign, were interested in the features of student life and development opportunities. They received thorough and comprehensive answers to all their questions. Each participant of the events was given advertising and information booklets with a description of the institutes of LTSNU, their specialties and contact information.

The event took place in a friendly atmosphere of constructive communication. We express our special gratitude to the director of the Kybyntsi Gymnasium, Larysa Lysenko, for her cooperation, support for career guidance initiatives and hospitality. During an informal conversation on the occasion of the 158th anniversary of the gymnasium, they discussed the trends of modern education, challenges for the student community and their motivation to obtain higher education.
